Sony offers troubleshooting advice on PS4 'blinking blue light' problem
Sony has published a troubleshooting guide for PlayStation 4 users experiencing an error with the 'blinking blue light'.
The hardware maker has responded to numerous reports from players concerning a blue light on the console's unit, which continuously flashes blue to signify a problem.
When the PS4 is properly connected and set up, the light is supposed to change from blue to white.
The support page states that associated symptoms include no video or audio output to television, as well as the console powering off after blinking blue.]It suggests that the problem may be caused by TV incompatibility or issues with the PS4's power supply, hard drive and hardware.
Users are recommended to try turning the console off completely by holding the power button for at least seven seconds and disconnecting the system's AC power cord, before checking for any visible damage and ensuring parts are properly intact.
Sony is currently investigating the issue, but if the problem persists users are advised to contact them through Live Chat on their website.Read more: Digital Spy
