Earlier today Sony gave a presentation on the Playstation 4 at the GDC 2013.
Most of the presentation was focused on technical details which are of very little interest to most gamers.
Some new details regarding the social integration features, however, have emerged: nothing too big, to be honest, but still it’s nice to know something new about the upcoming Sony console.

From the UI, selecting a game to launch will open a page where relevant information regarding the game is displayed: this page will also include comments on the game by your friends, DLCs listing and a few more news of interest.
Reaching this page is the only way to launch a game on the console.

Some more details have also been given: there’s no need to sign in with your real name.
Players may opt to use their PSN ID name but if they choose to sign in with Facebook, the real name will be a requirement.

The total friends limit will also be increased from the current 100 and gamers spectating can also send comments to the player while watching. Last but not least, taking screenshots will be easier than ever:
holding the share button is all you’ll have to do to take them, as easy as it is on the PsVita.

Inside PlayStation 4 - What Sony told game developers at GDC.

Sony is lifting the lid on PlayStation 4 development, finally revealing detailed technical information on its powerful new platform along with the philosophy that drives it. At GDC yesterday, SCEA senior staff engineer Chris Norden spoke to game developers about the core architecture that powers the new console, going into depth on the controller and camera while giving us some insight into what makes the PS4's x86 64-bit architecture a cut above your typical gaming PC.
